7TH GRADE STUDENTS AT MAPLEWOOD MIDDLE SCHOOL HAVE BEEN HARD AT WORK CREATING LEGENDARY CREATURES. I WILL ALSO POST THE STORIES THAT GO ALONG WITH THE CREATURES. IF YOU HAVE TIME TO READ THEM, THEY ARE PRETTY AMUSING :)
Catbear
In the vast forest greenery of Canada, the Catbear thrives by eating fish and berries. He regularly hangs out at rest stops and truck stops, and talks with the people there. Since no one wants to hire him, even though he’s just a capable as a human, he has to live in the forest, the end. But when people say they’ve seen him, you’d better believe it.
veggiedograffe
Once upon a time there was a legendary veggiedograffe. It lived in big cities usually in backyards of people’s houses. It likes to eat people and little squirrels. If you happen to see one, stand very still and don’t move a muscle…. It will dominate you if you run. It is very unlikely to see one in a small city… but there have been 72 seen ever in the world. And it has really stinky breath. It is usually seen in the eastern part of the U.S. that is the legend of the Veggiedograffe.
People say that the Gipaca lives in the mountains by a lake in the state of Wyoming, that’s where the first one was ever found. It eats all the grass and sleeps a lot. It has the head of a Giraffe and a body of an Alpaca. Some people say they have seen the Gipaca in person and it’s deadly. It is known to be medium sized but fiercely loud and fluffy (like a sheep). Some people say that it only comes out at dawn.
The Pigda
The Pigda is an animal that is mixed of a Pig and a Panda. You can find this animal by an ocean or a beach. It is not only found in the US it is also found in the UK. This Pigda is very rare, and hard to find in the US and UK. The Pigda acts like a pig and eats like a panda, so it basicly sounds like a pig and eats like a panda. Pigda is MAINLY found in the UK though, but it can found in the US.
The Legend of the Cloraffish
The Cloraffish is the only animal that can walk on land and on the ocean floor. It can be found anywhere near big water sources but is most commonly found in Florida or Mexico within 10 miles of the ocean. The Cloraffish eats trees, bushes, and some types of coral so the next most common place to find it is in forests. The Cloraffish can also walk on lake floors and river floors but likes the ocean the best. Don’t be afraid if you see one they do not eat humans and they aren’t fierce animals. Also they aren’t easy to find because they are fast, clever and sneaky. No animals hunt them but they tend to get sick a lot. There are currently 22,000 of them on Earth, and I don’t think they will be going extinct anytime soon. The cloraffish is a unique and amazing creature and I hope to one day meet one.
Buttertiger
The buttertiger was first seen in a tropical jungle in Brazil. This rare animal eats only butterflies that are seen in the jungle (that’s why it has butterfly wings). There are only a few of these in the world so we must care for these animals. When these animals are born they don’t have wings. Once the animal starts to eat butterflies the buttertiger will start to grow its own wings. These rare animals will live up to 30 years if they are healthy. Its half butterfly and half tiger. This animal weights about 100 pounds.
The Giant Panda Super Fly
The Panda Super Fly Turtle is a ridiculous animal. It has a body of a turtle and a head of a panda and can magically fly. The legend behind this animal is that it’s from an unknown land, unknown country. Every year, since 1976, this animal has been flying over the Great Wall of China and has been eating the bamboo of the panda’s. Sometimes, this animal would eat humans or even the pandas if they mess with it or anything that messes with it. If you leave it be, it’ll be just fly by and eat bamboo then leave otherwise, this animal is never depress. ;)
The Giant Flying Pandog
The Giant flying Pandog is thought to be very violent but it is one of the nicest creatures on earth. It likes to spend its day standing in lakes and playing with squirrels. Its appetite consists of bamboo and dog treats. If you ever see one, don’t be scared, the pandog will instantly become your best friend and want to play fetch. To keep hunters from killing these creatures just report them to police and they would be put in a safe place to continue its life just as it was before.
The Tandle
The tandle is a creature that is made up of a tiger, a panda, and an eagle that were unfortunate enough to all fall into nuclear waste at the same time and created one super animal. It roams the rainforests of Brazil, searching for food. It mostly eats large animals and humans. It is very aggressive and vicious so if you see it do not approach it, run from it and try to hide.
The Guck is one of the fiercest animals alive. It lives in the forests of northern Africa and central Asia and can also be seen in parts of North America. It feeds on animals such as worms, fish, cows, and llamas. It is part giraffe part duck. It can soar through the air at a speed of 210 miles per and it is the fastest animal alive. If you see one don’t be alarmed it doesn’t eat humans. It is found in the seasons of spring and summer. It is also ancestors with the dinosaurs and the whales. Be careful when you see one though you never know what a guck can do.
Once, long ago there lived a mysterious creature that roamed the woods, and this creature was called, the Dunny. No person has ever seen the Dunny and lived to tell the tale. Except one. A small girl was once in the woods, late at night searching for something that no person has ever seen before. She was searching for the Dunny. Notices had gone up in every small town that the one to find and capture the Dunny would be well fed and in a nice home for life and for their children, and for their children’s children. So this girl was searching for a way to end her family’s hunger. There she was, the moon was at its peak; fuller than it had been for the last week. The little girl didn’t need anything to help her see, the moon was just fine. Then a scream pierced the air. Not quite human and not quite animal. The little girl ran ahead on weightless feet, like a ghost through the forest toward the noise. Then she saw it. The Dunny. It was being attacked be a Mountain Lion. She stayed where she was and expertly flung stones at the lion, invisible behind the trees. The lion gave up and prowled away. The Dunny began to sniff out the woody smelling girl. He found her and then she just felt like she was falling, falling into a black hole of haziness. She awoke in a warm, woody den. The small girl just figured she got dragged out of the forest by one of the people in her town. Until she heard the low growl when she tried to move. Then she saw it again. As breathtakingly incredible as the first time she saw it. The Dunny. It stared back at her with its clear, intelligent eyes. Its fawn fur and bunny ears twitching with, as it seemed, indecision. The little girl no longer cared about her family’s hunger, she cared about nothing except making sure this magnificent creature saw no harm come into its path. The little girls saw only two options now that she figured the Dunny wouldn’t let her go. She thought about running only to tell her family what happened. So run she did. The Dunny just stared at her with those eyes. “I’ll come back, you know. I just can’t leave my family like this.” So she ran. She told her family what had happened and ran back to that legendary Dunny. To which she was never heard from again.

The Girbra lives on the beach. It only comes out at 7:21pm, on Saturday, Sunday & Thursday. It likes to snack on oranges & bananas. It likes to go surfing & it scares away sharks. It’s half zebra, half giraffe. It loves to hangout by the beach and look at hot Zeaffe’s. Girbra absolutely loves to drink orange-banana smoothies while surfing in the ocean on a pink-purple & yellow surf board. Girbra’s best friend is his pet duck, her name is dinky waffle-tush.
The Rhinofly is a very dangerous animal. They were said to have lived on earth since the beginning of time. There aren’t many left maybe two. If you ever some to face one be ready to run as fast as you can they are said to attack people as a sort of “game”. They live in California and for vacation like to go to Minnesota. I’m not really sure why. They can be friendly but you would have had to raise them from when they were born. They are very intelligent animals. They enjoy long strolls on the beaches and grass is the perfect treat for them. J
Chunny - Bunken (Easter bunny)
Whenever you see a Chunny-Bunken or also know as an easter bunny you think of it just as a Bunny right ? Wrong . They have a chicken body , so they can lay the colorful eggs of course . They have a bunnies head for a head and a chicken body for the body . They only come around once a year and that’s easter day . You rarely See them though . Sometimes if your lucky you get an easter basket from them As a gift . Don’t worry they are totally harmless , they only grow up to be 1 ft of height , And weighs about ….. 15 pounds .
